I BUILT VELVET LANE BECAUSE I BELIEVED SOMETHING BETTER WAS POSSIBLE
My name is Mahnoor. I am twenty-five, based in Paris, and I came to this work the long way around. Velvet Lane is what I found when I stopped looking for permission and started building instead, a studio created specifically for Muslim women in business, from the inside out.
Good design, to me, is not decoration. It is the difference between a business that is merely found and one that is genuinely felt.
